Middle School begins in the 6th grade, when the students are children at 10 and 11 years old and ends in the 9th grade, when they are already teenagers at 14 and 15 and are prepared to handle the new challenges of High School. It is, therefore, a transitional segment that covers a phase of major changes in the lives of students. They are faced with issues of higher complexity, which require a critical, ethical and reflective position.
The aim of middle School is to facilitate, promote and develop this maturation, therefore emphasizing the value of a civil education and initiating the student inthe path towards the adult world.
